List of Responsible AI Courses
The following list contains a selection of responsible AI courses of other universities or online resources. Keep in mind that there are many more courses available in Berlin, Germany and all over the world, the list is merely an entry point to your search. The list features courses with various focus areas indicated by keywords, the publicly available resources for each course fluctuate, while a course description mainly gives you information about the lecturer and time frame of the course, a course syllabus gives you at least a week by week curriculum with additional reading resources. Links may be volatile however the name of the course should make it possible to find every course.
The keywords we use are defined as follows:
- Ethical principles: This includes the consideration of principles such as fairness, transparency, responsibility and data protection in the development and use of AI systems.
- Critical reflection: This includes thinking critically about one’s own actions and the impact they have on the future and others.
- Diversity and inclusion: This includes considering diversity and inclusion in the development of data sets, models and in the person developing and using AI systems.
- Data security and data protection: This includes ensuring that personal data used by AI systems is treated securely and confidentially and that data protection law is complied with.
- Explainability: This includes the ability to understand and explain the decisions and processes of AI systems.
- Sustainability and environmental impact: This refers to the impact of AI systems on the environment and society in general and the need to minimize this impact and make it sustainable.
- Governance: This includes the creation of framework conditions and processes for monitoring and regulating the development and use of AI systems.
